After a good nights sleep your second trek will first involve a transfer on motorbike to the village of Tualang Gepang/Bukit Kencur, along this journey you will have chance to stop and see the views of palm oil plantatons meeting the jungle..and if the weather is clear you can see all the way to Mount Sinabung in Berastagi. Once in the village you will start your trek by walking through rubber plantations and border habitat to enter the beautiful and virtually untouched jungle.
You do have the option for this second day to simply take a shorter trek to a beautiful waterfall and river where you can swim and relax and after lunch trek back out and return once again to Green Hill. For further info about each day trek see above.

Once you arrive in Simolap you will meet the guides from the local community, have a safety briefing and then begin your trek into the national park rainforests. As usual neither Green Hill or the local guides make any guarantees about what wildlife you might see. and you should note that the wildlife here is totally unused to seeing human visitors and is like to hide and is thus tricky to see. But this is good…its normal behaviour. We love to bring guests trekking here to experience truly wild area of rainforest and you should focus on soaking up the jungle atmosphere..it really is a privilege to be in such an environment.
The local Simolap guides will provide you with all food and drink during the day which will include a fruit snack and tasty local nasi goreng (friend rice) for lunch. Depending on the weather you will aim to get back to Simolap early afternoon where you will be able to take a much deserved soak in the hot springs which are incredible. After that you will transfer back to Bukit Lawang.
